Goldeneye Resort and Hotel

Golden Eye was named by Ian Fleming after his first visit to Jamaica during WWII.When the war ended he happened to built his dream house there and named it GoldenEye. This is also where Fleming first wrote about James Bond. Today his home is a luxury hotel, and guests can see the desk where Fleming penned his Bond book.

There is a spacious feeling to this one bedroom villa where the rooms flow together informally. The bedroom is nestled under a giant Banyan tree and features a queen size bed, a claw foot tub and an exotic outdoor rain shower. Bizot Bar

Located at the western arm of Low Cay Beach, Bizot Bar is the spot for stylish low key dining. Bizot Bar serves breakfast and lunch that includes fresh salads, yummy burgers and tasty pastas, as well as famously authentic and delicious Jamaican specialties.

The  tree house-style built Gazebo (with lounge and restaurant) serves up dishes with an international flavor. Overlooking both Low Cay Beach and The Lagoon, the Gazebo is the sexy, open-air spot to enjoy cocktails while watching fiery Caribbean sunsets. Dishes range from grilled lobster tail to seasoned rack of lamb, complemented with an international wine list.

Splash in the Sea

The four-acre Lagoon, the centerpiece of GoldenEye, was created when Oracabessa was a banana port. Today it forms a peaceful ring around Santa Maria Island and extends under the GoldenEye bridge and into the Bay. GoldenEye’s main beach, Low Cay, is 500 feet of smooth sand that’s ideal for sunning, relaxing and swimming. Our fun, fitness-focused experiences include lagoon rafting, stand-up paddleboarding and core balance and strength instruction. Guests can also mountain bike to Firefly, play tennis, or simply jog along the coast. Other uniquely inspirational and experiential activities are available, including sunset yoga, and coral restoration.

Water Sports at GoldenEye includes:

Kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, snorkeling, fresh and saltwater pool, lagoon and sea swimming, jet skiing.

For all the water activities visit Wata Sport Beach. Located just below the Gazebo it is headquarters where you'll find our water sports guides and instructors who will arrange everything for you like Tennis.And Tennis Pro is provided on request.

Core Training

Train and maintain your body at the hotel workout plan with exercises to strengthen the abs, lower back, and gluteal muscles. The practical and educational workout is part of the “FieldSpa FieldWork” series.

Team Morning Run

The FieldSpa Team’s morning run is a favorite daily activity, staffed by friendly and enthusiastic local runners proud of Jamaica’s sport heritage. A low elevation loop along the coast is one of several routes. All fitness levels welcome.

Mountain Biking

Nature lovers can have the joy of taking  two-hour adventure riding through the charming fishing village of Oracabessa, up rugged trails overlooking the ocean, and arriving at majestic Firefly.

Morning Fishing Trip

Join one of the local Oracabessa Bay fishermen for their morning catch. Pull traps set by fishermen or drop a line yourself and bring your catch back to have it cooked by our chef at GoldenEye.

Sunset Yoga

Sunset yoga is known for the improvement of  circulation and restoring energy.Practice fundamental yoga poses are practiced in all sessions, allowing beginner through advanced students to deepen their practices.

Take a ride on our glass bottom boat to check out over 700 species of fish in Oracabessa Bay.
