Les Roches is highly demanded hospitality management school which was started in 1979.Les Roches is a coeducational hospitality school.The program of the school is accredited by the Commission on Institutes of Higher Education (CIHE) of the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.Approximately 1490 students from 97 countries are attending the School with 580 students on internship around the world.
Les Roches provides instruction in English to students of any race, nationality, sex, color, religion or creed who have successfully completed a full secondary school program.Students are exposed to a broad range of hospitality management courses covering the inter-related areas of the travel & tourism industry, by means of theoretical and practical work within the school and by regular periods of internship in recognized hotels, restaurants or related institutions.Students’ intellectual abilities are further developed through the general education component of the programs.Main objective of school is to train and educate students to a level of all round competence in the varied operations of the hospitality industry. Under Graduates
Hotel Management Diploma
The Hotel Management Diploma combines hands-on hospitality courses, including rooms division, reception, and restaurant operations, with basic hotel management courses. With the hotel management diploma, students can begin with entry level positions in hospitality businesses. As a guarantee of the quality of your hospitality management diploma, Les Roches is accredited by the New England Association of Schools and Colleges.
This diploma includes the foundation years of the BBA in International Hotel Management, and serves as either an exit-point or as a way for students to extend their payment schedule with the extra internship.The course length is of 3 years and the internship is of (3*6) 1.8 years.Every year the school enrolls the students 2 times once at jan/feb and the other intake is at july/aug.
Requirements
Age - Normally 18 years old and above. Applicants can be under that age provided they are 18 years old by the time they start their first internship.
Education - A High School Diploma or equivalent. Students must have completed (supported by an official Certificate / Diploma) at least six years (for the Diploma program) and at least 7 years (for the AD/ BBA program) of secondary education and provide evidence of it. Complete information on the school, including school transcript and/or certificate of public examination (including an explanatory note of the grading system) should be provided.
English Qualification - If you are not a native English speaker, or if you have not spent the last 3 years in an English-taught school, please enclose one of the following:
TOEFL: minimum score of 500 points for the paper based test and 61 on the Internet Based Test (IBT). The TOEFL testing code number for Les Roches is 9827.
Cambridge First Certificate Exam (FCE): Grade C - Please also send the statement of results with your detailed profile.
IELTS : Academic Module minimum Overall Band Score of 5.0 and min 5.0 for each part (listening, reading, writing, speaking).
All English certificates must have been issued in the last 12 months prior to admission.
If you do not meet the above English language requirements, you have the possibility of registering on our Intensive English language program to acquire the entry English level.
Bachelor Degree in International Hotel Management
The Bachelor Degree in International Hotel Management prepares students to enter the world of hospitality as leaders and managers with a strategic approach to business. It combines management theory with hands-on hospitality courses, professional internships and a business specialization.
Students take a variety of business courses and three courses for their specialization. There are seven specializations to choose from: Event Management, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Finance, Innovation and Sustainability, Culinary Business Management or Spa and Health Management.The course is of 3.5 year with total internship months of 12 months.And the intake of the students takes place 3 times in a year.The intake takes in the month of January,August and October.
Hospitality business management degree
This hospitality business management degree offers you a global study rotation with your classmates through our campuses in Switzerland, China and Spain.You’ll develop first-hand knowledge of service culture and business practice of these key tourism markets and learn what it means to be cross-culturally fluent.
International exposure will give you a unique advantage to your career. Just over half (56%) industry managers based in luxury hotels prefer graduates who have trained in more than a single country.This course is of 3.5 years and the time period for the internship is of 12 months.Intake takes place twice a year in the month of January and July.
